Overview

Comfort. Relaxation. And it all comes together with the Eurail Austria Pass. It gives you extensive travel on the national rail network of Austria, with your choice of first or second class travel for 3, 4, 5, or 8 days of rail travel within a one-month period. This pass offers saverpass discounts for 2 or more traveling together and you can also decide whether you’d prefer your travel days to be consecutive or non-consecutive.

It’s no wonder that the majority of adventurers to Austria prefer to do so with an Austria Rail Pass. Breathtaking scenery notwithstanding, a train journey allows affordable flexibility and accessibility — while eliminating language barriers, local transit ticket counters, and high gas prices. And your rail pass has additional benefits to make your travel even more seamless, like transit on some InterCity Bus routes that may require reservations and a day of use on your pass, discounts on select ferries, hotels and audio city guides. See the cities and sites you’ve always imagined : like Vienna — one of Europe’s cultural capitals, located on the banks of the Danube. A romantic’s dream destination, Vienna was home to Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Johann Strauss. And, cultural connoisseurs won’t want to miss Museums Quartier, one of the largest cultural complexes in the world. No trip to Austria is complete without a stop in Salzburg, a city of incomparable architectural beauty. (Did we mention it was also where “The Sound of Music” was filmed ?)

You know, it’s true what they say…those hills are alive. But the breathtaking scenery of Austria ? It will remind you that you are too. The Eurail Austria pass.

    Amazing !! |
"As a family we really enjoyed travel using the pass but as compared to Swiss pass, Austria pass has limited options of travelling on the internal city transport systems. Might be a country specific policy. "

My family trip to Austria |
"I have taken my family for a vacation to Austria in May 2014 and used Austria Rail pass to travel within Austria. We stayed at Maria Alm and took the train from Saalfaden station to visit Salzburg,Vienna and Innsbruck. The train travel was very efficient, convenient and comfortable, and we enjoyed the travel by train a lot. It gave us a country side view and a peek into the culture and customs of Austria and its people. The views of the snow clad mountains, lush green meadows and historical structures created a lasting impression on us and the train journey gave us the opportunity to experience the natural beauty at a close distance. "It was some of the best experiences in life which will go deep in our mind as a quality product from EU. People and government around the world must learn from the management and technical support of this system to make the lives of peole safer and comfortable as in the present scenario we must depend on such efficient means of commuting to avoid more environmental losses through individual pumping of Carbon in the surroundings. I salute the excellent service providers and maintenance people of the whole Railway system "

    Lovely experience |
"If you are in Austria, it is almost a crime to not take the train... And if you are taking the train for more than a couple of days, then you just HAVE to take the austria pass.. The entire experience was lovely... Tips : 1. Not all rail companies accept the pass.. We boarded WestBahn train after confirming with the train conductor that the pass is accepted, but it turned out that the pass wasnt valid on it... Well, blame the conductor, but we had to pay for the journey... 2. Trains leave on EXACT time, almost to the second. So dont be late. Be extra careful if you have connecting trains. 3. It would be cheaper to buy your drinks n food from the city/railway stations than from the trains. "

"We bought an Austrian pass - it was very cheap and we travel the whole of Austria on/off for 7 days. The trains are in an excellent condition and very clean - you got a whole "compartment" for yourself with air condition. We also enjoy the high speed train restaurants. There was never a problem to use the pass. Buy the ‘saver’ if you travel 2 or more. It is really the cheapest way to travel in Europe. You do not have to reserve seats upfront – not even for the scenic routes – get on and there you go. "
