Once you've selected your pass, its price will depend on the class of service, First or Second, selected and the number of rail travel days.

2. Reserve your seats

Reserve your seats

Taking local and regional trains allows you to explore at will. Simply board with your rail pass and choose any open seat. Reservations are required on most high speed, overnight, scenic, and international trains. With the Eurail Austria-Switzerland-Germany-France Pass you may travel on TGV, French trains : Intercités, Bernina Express, Chocolate Train, Wilhelm Tell Express, and Glacier Express trains which require additional seat reservations. We recommend always checking your desired journey for any specific seat reservation requirements.

3. Activate and travel

Your rail pass requires that you activate it by getting it stamped at the ticket window at the departure station on the day of your first train journey. Once activated, you are all set and ready to explore.

Bus & Train
  • Discount on first and second class tickets on the Thello Night Train if your pass is valid in France and/or Italy for travel between Paris and Milan. Purchasing this fare will not use a day on your pass.
  • Discount on first and second class tickets on the Thello Day Trains if your pass is valid in France and/or Italy on the following routes; Marseille/Nice and Genova/Milan (including all intermediary stops). Purchasing this fare will not use a day on your pass.
  • Free travel from Digne – St Auban/Veynes
  • Free travel from Oloron – Canfranc (Spain)
  • International IC Bus Connections: Reservations required. Reservations and/or tickets are an additional cost and can be purchased locally. Travelers with a Eurail Pass which is not valid for all the countries through which the bus travels need a reservation and a ticket for the portion not covered by the rail pass.
  • Strassbourg-Mannheim-Nürnberg-Prague
Cruises & Ferries
  • 30% reduction on the standard foot passenger fares on ferry crossings from Cherbourg to Rosslare (Ireland - February to December) and Roscoff to Rosslare (Ireland - May to September) operated by Irish Ferries. Advance booking is recommended and reservations required. No daily sailings.
Museums & Activities
