Train travel in Greece is a great way to see more without ever having to worry about the airport or road signs. And you’ll be free to hop on and off at will wherever Greece’s trains take you. So, where will they take you ?

How about to incredible coastal areas that leave no guessing as to why Greece was the home of the Gods. (Let’s face it— they could have lived anywhere, but chose here.) Why not head north to Thessaloniki, Greece’s second city founded in 315 BC ? Or visit relics of the Mycenaean, Classical and Byzantine civilizations in any number of museums, as rail travel transports you with the appropriate civility. No rushing to meet some random, infrequent schedule, or fishing for proper change at train station ticket booths.

You’ll find your Greece Rail Pass has hidden treasures, too. Like travel discounts on ferries between Greece and Italy. The Eurail Greece Pass from Rail Europe : proof that you don’t have to be an archaeologist to uncover something really great there.
